At S2-gate launch, Hoist Assets will run PPSR serial-number searches by VIN / chassis number / aircraft serial so dealers can confirm equipment is unencumbered before taking it in trade or selling on consignment. Today we're in the S1-gate validation sprint — the sandbox against three fixture organisations is live; real AFSA traffic is not.

Plan: auctioneer prepping a lot runs all VINs through batch. Records attach to each lot listing. Bidders see clearance status at a glance. Batch endpoint is S2-gate work.

01What about boats and aircraft?
Yes — AFSA's serial-number search covers vehicles, watercraft, aircraft, and other goods with valid serial numbers. We pass through the same scope.
02Can I run a chassis number that's not in the standard format?
We normalise common variants (spaces, leading zeros, country prefixes). If the search returns nothing because of a format mismatch, you'll get a hint in the error response.
